ZAVRŠNA RIJEČ

Dragi trkači, maratonci, hodočasnici, draga djeco kako nas sve ovdje Gospa zove bez obzira na nacionalnost, vjeroispovijest ili boju kože. Čast mi je pročitati Gospinu poruku od 25. srpnja 1990. god. koja je temelj i cilj ovog Maratona mira:

«Draga djeco!
Danas vas pozivam na mir. Ovdje sam došla kao Kraljica mira i želim vas obogatiti svojim majčinskim mirom. Draga djeco, ja vas volim i sve vas želim povesti k miru, koji samo Bog daje i obogaćuje svako srce. Pozivam vas da postanete nositelji i svjedoci moga mira u ovom nemirnom svijetu. Neka mir zavlada u čitavom svijetu koji je nemiran i čezne za mirom. Ja vas blagoslivljam svojim majčinskim blagoslovom. Hvala što ste se odazvali mome pozivu!»

Mislim da je KUP-KARMEL kao organizator postigao što je želio, a to je da smo se svi kao djeca jednoga Boga razumjeli i signalizirali svijetu potrebu za mirom. Hvala svima Vama da ste se odazvali i sudjelovali na ovom maratonu. Posebno me veseli da nagrade nisu bile uvjet Vašeg nastupa na Maratonu mira, jer su nagrade objavljene tek 8 dana prije utrke, a do tada smo imali već zavidan broj prijavljenih trkača. Siguran sam da je bilo propusta u samoj organizaciji i unutar organizacije pa Vas stoga molim za oprost jer je ovo prvi puta da KUP - KARMEL organizira ovakav događaj koji sigurno ne bi mogao provesti do kraja bez pomoći AK DINAMO - ZRINJEVAC, HAK - LJUBUŠKI i AK BROTNJO - ČITLUK. Svim djelatnicima spomenutih klubova od srca veliko hvala. Moram svratiti pozornost na gosp. Borisa Stepinca, Predsjednika AK DINAMO-ZRINJEVAC zbog njegove srčanosti i nesebične pomoći oko ovog projekta koji je definitivno svojim uključivanjem, uz Božju pomoć najzaslužniji da je maraton proveden do kraja.

Od srca se zahvaljujem Načelniku Općine Grude gosp. Viktoru Mariću te Srećku Mikuliću, Načelniku Općine Ljubuški gosp. Nevenku Barbariću te Davorinu Mediću, Načelniku Općine Čitluk gosp. Ivi Jerkiću te Gradonačelniku Zagreba gosp. Milanu Bandiću koji su od prvoga dana priprema maratona pokazali zainteresiranost te pružili svesrdnu pomoć.

Dragi Međugorčani, hvala vam na srčanosti, organizaciji, povjerenju i vjeri u uspjeh ovog Gospinog maratona. Ilija puno ti hvala! Hvala Župnku Međugorja - Provincijalu fra Ivanu Sesaru, svim sponzorima i gosp. Radoslavu Bondži koji je prikupio sredstva.

Hvala mojoj supruzi i naših 4 djece koji su mi bili nenadomjestiva potpora i utjeha u ovim zadnjim danima organizacije maratona. Nadasve zahvaljujem našoj Gospi, Kraljici mira. I na kraju još samo jedan citat iz Evanđelja koji mene kao organizatora čini sretnim:

«Blago vama kad vas – zbog mene – pogrde i prognaju i sve zlo slažu protiv vas! Radujte se i kličite: velika je plaća vaša na nebesima!» (Mt 5,11-12)

CLOSING WORD

Dear runners, marathoners, pilgrims, dear children – as Our Lady calls us all together regardless of our nationality, religion or the colour of our skin. It is a great honour for me to read Our Lady’s proclamation from 25 July 1990 which represents the purpose and the foundation of this Peace Marathon:

«Dear children!
Today I summon you to peace. I have come here as the Queen of Peace and I want to bestow upon you my motherly peace. Dear children, I have deep love for you and I want to lead you all to peace which only God can give and which enriches every heart. I am calling you to become the possessors and witnesses of my peace in this turbulent world. Let this peace begin to reign all around this troubled world which is longing for calm. I bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for your acceptance of my call!»

We are convinced that KUP-KARMEL has accomplished its goal as the organizer of this event which was to come together in unity as the children of God and send to the world a clear message about the need for peace. Thank you all for coming here and participating in this marathon. I am especially glad that your participation in the Peace Marathon was not principally conditioned by the prizes and rewards since the prizes were officially announced only 8 days before the race and until then we had already received a surprising number of applications for the participation in the marathon. Certainly, there were some oversights in the organization and the organizational framework of the Marathon and I kindly want to ask for your understanding since this has been the first time that KUP-KARMEL has organized such an important event whose full realization would be impossible without the assistance of AT DINAMO – ZRINJEVAC, HAK LJUBUŠKI and AT BROTNJO – ČITLUK. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all the employees of these teams and clubs. I also want to mention in particular Mister Boris Stepinac, the president of AT DINAMO – ZRINJEVAC, for his great effort and generous help in this project. Together with God’s help, Mister Stepinac’s genuine commitment deserves the greatest credit for the full realization of the Peace Marathon.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the Principal Officer of the Municipality of Grude, Mister Viktor Marić and to Srećko Mikulić; to the Principal Officer of the Municipality of Ljubuški, Mister Nevenko Barbarić and Davorin Medić; to the Principal Officer of the Municipality of Čitluk, Mister Ivo Jerkić and Mister Milan Bandić, the Mayor of Zagreb, who have all shown a great interest in the organization of the Marathon and provided their generous help from the earliest preparations for the Marathon.

Dear people of Međugorje, thank you for your great zeal, organization, confidence and belief in the success of this marathon of Our Lady. Ilija, thank you a lot! We are also grateful to the Vicar of Međugorje, Provincial and Father Ivan Sesar, to all the sponsors and Mister Radoslav Bondža who managed to collect the necessary funds.

I also wish to thank my wife and our four children for their irreplaceable support and consolation during the last days of the organization of the Marathon. Foremost I wish to thank Our Lady, the Queen of Peace. Let me finish by quoting a verse from one of the Gospels which makes me happy as the organizer:

«Happy are you when people reproach you and persecute you and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against you for my sake. Rejoice and leap for joy, since your reward is great in the heavens!» (Matthew 5,11-12)

ABSCHLUSSWORT

Liebe Laeufer und Pilger, liebe Kinder – wie uns Gospa hier alle unterschiedslos nennt! Es ist mir eine Ehre die Botschaft der Gospa vom 25. 07.1990 zu verlesen:

«Liebe Kinder!
Heute lade ich euch zum Frieden ein.Als Koenigin des Friedens bin ich hierher gekommen und moechte euch mit meinem muetterlichen Frieden bereichern. Liebe Kinder, ich liebe euch und moechte euch alle zum Frieden fuehren, den nur Gott gibt und der jedes Herz bereichert. Ich rufe euch auf, Traeger und Zeugen meines Friedens in dieser friedlosen Welt zu werden. Der Friede soll in der ganzen Welt, die friedlos ist und sich nach den Frieden sehnt, zu herrschen beginnen. Ich segne euch mit meinem muetterlichen Segen! Danke, dass ihr meinem Ruf gefolgt seid!»

Ich glaube dass Kup-Karmel mit dieser Veranstalltung erreicht hat, die Signale in die Wellt zu senden: wir alle sind Kinder Gottes und haben ein Beduerfniss nach dem Frieden. Ich danke euch allen, dass ihr an der Veranstaltung teilgenommen habt. Es freut mich, dass fuer die Teilnahme nicht die Preise ausschlaggebend waren, denn sie sind erst acht Tage vor Marathonbeginn bekanntgegeben worden. Bis dahin war aber schon eine grosse Zahl der Anmeldungen bei uns eingegangen. Fuer alle Organisationsmaengel bitte ich um Verzeihung, denn Kup-Karmel organisiert zum ersten Mal eine solche Veranstalltung, die ohne Mithilfe der Athletikklubs AK DINAMO ZRINJEVAC, HAK LJUBUŠKI und AK BROTNJO-ČITLUK gar nicht zurstande gekommen waere. Allen Mitarbeitern der genannten Klubs herzlichen Dank. Besonderen Dank moechte ich Herrn Boris Stepinac aussprechen dessen Einsatz ausschlaggebend fuer die Durchfuehrund des Marathons war.

Auch bei den Gemeindeleitern und Mitarbeitern bedanke ich mich herzlichst: Vinko Marić und Srećko Mikulić aus Grude, Nevenko Barbarić und Davorin Medić aus Ljubuški, Ivo Jerkić aus Čitluk, sowie dem Oberbuergermeister von Zagreb Milan Bandić, die von Anfang der Vorbereitungen mit Rat und Tat hilfreich waren.

Liebe Medjugorjebuerger danke fuer euren Mut, Organisation, Vertrauen und Glauben an Erfolg des Gospa-Marathons. Ilija, Dir gilt besoderer Dank. Danke dem Pfarrer von Međugorje, jetzigen Provinzial fra Ivan Sesar, danke den Sponsoren und dem Radoslav Bondža, der die Mittel gesammelt hat.

Danke meiner Ehefrau und den vier Kindern die mir grosse Stuetze , Trost und Ansporn waren, besonderes in den letzten Tagen der Vorbereitungen. Und am Ende noch ein Zitat aus Evangelium, der mich als Organisatoren gluecklich macht:

«Selig seid ihr, wenn ihr um meinetwillen beschimpft und verfolgt und auf alle moegliche Weise verleumdet werdet. Freut euch und jubelt: Euer Lohn im Himmel wird gross sein…» (Mt 5,11-12)

LA PAROLA CONCLUSIVA

Cari corridori, pellegrini, cari figli, come la Gospa ci chiama tutti nonostante la nazionalità, la confessione o il colore della nostra pelle. Sono onorato di leggere il messaggio della Gospa del 25 di luglio 1990 che è il fondamento e lo scopo di questa Maratona della pace:

«Cari figli!
Oggi vi invito alla pace. Sono venuta qui come Regina della Pace e desidero arricchirvi con la mia pace materna. Cari figli, Io vi amo e desidero guidarvi tutti verso la pace che solo Dio può dare e che arricchisce ogni cuore.Vi invito a diventare i portatori e i testimoni della mia pace in questo mondo senza pace. Io vi benedico con la mia benedizione materna. Grazie per aver risposto alla mia chiamata!»

Penso che KUP-KARMEL come organizzatore abbia raggiunto quello che ha voluto, cioè che tutti ci siamo sentiti come i figli di un’unico Dio e abbiamo indicato al mondo il bisogno della pace. Grazie a tutti Voi che avete risposto alla chiamata e avete partecipato a questa maratona. Mi rallegra specialmente che la condizione della vostra partecipazione alla Maratona delle pace non erano i premi, perchè erano stati segnalati appena 8 giorni prima della corsa, e fino a questo momento avevamo avuto già un invidiabile numero di corridori prenotati. Sono sicuro che ci sono state delle ommissioni da parte dell’organizzazione e dentro di essa e per questo Vi chiedo scusa perchè questo era la prima volta che KUP – KARMEL organizzava tale avvenimento che sicuramente non avrebbe potuto essere portato a termine senza l’aiuto di AK DINAMO – ZRINJEVAC, HAK – LJUBUŠKI e AK BROTNJO – ČITLUK. A tutti i lavoratori dei club menzionati sopra un cordiale tante grazie. Devo in special modo segnalare il Sig. Boris Stepinac, il Presidente di AK DINAMO – ZRINJEVAC per la sua audacia e l’aiuto altruistico per questo progetto, al quale va particolarmente il merito se la maratona è stata condotta a buon fine.

Cordialmente ringrazio il Sindaco del Municipio di Grude Sig. Viktor Marić e Srećko Mikulić, il Sindaco del Municipio di Ljubuški Sig. Nevenko Barbarić e Davorin Medić, il Sindaco del Municipio di Čitluk Sig. Ivo Jerkić e il Sindaco di Zagreb Sig. Milan Bandić i quali dal primo giorno delle preparazioni della maratona hanno mostrato vivo interesse e hanno offerto l’aiuto di tutto cuore.

Cari Međugoriani, grazie per la vostra cordialità, l’organizzazione, la confidenza e l’aver creduto al successo di questa maratona della Gospa. Tante grazie Ilija! Grazie al parrocco di Međugorje – il Provinciale fra Ivan Sesar, a tutti gli sponzor e al Sig. Radoslav Bondža che ha raccolto i mezzi.

Grazie a mia moglie e ai nostri 4 bambini che sono stati il mio sostegno insostituibile, e la mia consolazione in questi ultimi giorni di organizzazione della maratona. Soprattutto ringrazio la nostra Gospa, Regina della pace. Alla fine soltanto una citazione dal Vangelo che mi rende felice come organizzatore:

«Beati voi quando vi insulteranno, vi perseguiteranno e, mentendo, diranno ogni sorta di male contro di voi per causa mia. Rallegratevi ed esultate, perchè grande è la vostra ricompensa nei cieli!» (Mt 5,11-12)
