Press Conference On 14 February 2007 in Zagreb the first press conference was held related to the organisation of the Peace marathon under the motto "Run for Our Lady" with the purpose of informing the public concerning all the preparations for the coordination of this important event. The chairman of the Organisation Committee Mr. Robert Rukavina emphasised that the principal objective of the organisers is to assemble the runners of various religions and nations to be part of a unique manifestation genuinely promoting peace and friendship. It is expected that this marathon will develop into a well-established race of international character. With the purpose of popularisation of this event the organisers are trying to get the participation of as many persons and institutions popular through the media so that the information regarding this marathon reach as many people as possible. Međugorje, where the race will be held, has been chosen precisely because this is the place where the proclamation of Heaven was made through Our Lady calling people for reconciliation, peace and love. The chairman of the Executive Committee Mr. Boris Stepinac announced that the technical organiser of the race will be AT Dinamo-Zrinjevac in collaboration with the Athletic Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. AT Dinamo-Zrinjevac has a considerable experience in the organisation of the manifestations of similar character. The chairman of the Honour Committee Mr. Milan Bandić expressed his full support for this manifestation by announcing his own participation in the running of this marathon. The organisers also announced the next press conference that will be organised for the media in Herzegovina. The conference will be held as soon as the types and amounts of all the prizes for the winners in individual categories are determined and all the representatives of the media will be informed about all the necessary details in due time.
